To work for an NDIS registered provider, all employees must complete appropriate background checks and compulsory competencies.
We prefer all applicants to have completed this before the interview process. The Workers Orientation Module is a free, short, online course that serves as an introduction into the industry. Please find the link here: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course
We prefer applicants to have both the NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check before the interview process. As a volunteer, the application is free of charge. If you gain paid employment, either with us or another organisation, there is a $137 fee that is valid for 5 years. https://portal.workerscreening.communities.qld.gov.au/login
Holding both a current First Aid and CPR Certificate is a core competency that all staff must possess. If you do not have one, you must be willing to obtain one at your own cost.
